Our IOF tournament is being held at St. John’s Country Day School, 3100 Doctors Lake Dr. Orange Park. (NOT St. Johns Classical Academy). I have run plenty of tournaments at Clay High School and around the North Florida area over the last 21 years, but this will be our first time running a tournament at St. John’s. Please look over the following items to help you navigate tournament day.
- We have two gyms, Brown gym and Alumni gym, they are a short walk from one another. I have provided a map to help you find both gyms and parking. There will also be signs to help you find the alumni gym.
- There is limited seating in both gyms, but we have tables and seating outside to check out our beautiful campus, otherwise quality of life inside the gyms will be miserable.
- Trackwrestling has been bought by Flowrestling. I have coached in two tournaments since the switch, I would definitely download the Flosports app on your phone and get acquainted with it. I will posted below step by step instructions for both Flowresting and Trackwrestling mat schedule. There should be no need to hang mat side in the gym waiting for your bout to come up. We are also hoping to have two TVs with the bout schedule so everyone will know when they are up or on deck.
- There’s limited bathrooms in the Brown gym, but there is a locker room by the pool and more bathrooms at the lower school nearby. There will be signs to help you find your way.
- We are capping entries at 250 and we stagger start times, so everyone is not in the gym the entire day. If you have an athlete that would like to weigh in Saturday, email me at hhill@sjcds.net
